BMW M3 Mirrors - All For Safety

It's no secret driver safety and vehicle safety have been of the utmost importance to the auto manufacturing industry. And BMW has always been a leader in the industry. Auto mirrors are one of the most important safety features of a vehicle which is why BMW has turn toe M3 mirrors.

It's very important for drivers to have clear visibility in fact NHTSA says that more than 400,000 accidents were a direct result of defective mirrors and blind spots are responsible for more than 800,000 accidents causing more than 150,000 injuries.

So it's not surprising that mirrors are a number one priority and that a great deal of time and money goes into designing mirrors that reduce the number of accidents.

Bavarian Motor Works or as most of us know it BMW is one of the car manufacturers that has implemented some very serious safety standards and that includes their mirrors.

BMW mirrors are designed with optimum safety in mind which is why you'll find they are heated meaning you never have to worry about fogged up mirrors. They also have the signal indicator built into the mirrors.

But wait there's more! BMW has spent a great deal on engineering to ensure that blind spots are completely eliminated and that the driver's horizon has been widened as much as possible. The aerodynamic of shape of the mirror also reduces the drag and thus improves fuel economy.

In almost all of the BMW models you will find the angle which makes the mirror very easy to adjust so that you can see the side horizons of the road. The mirrors can be adjusted manually and in some option packages electronic adjustment is available.

And for night driving when other vehicles headlights can interfere with your ability to drive the M3 mirrors have an automatic dimmer which is a nice feature that will automatically detect and reduce glare by adjusting the glass automatically. This sure beats the heck out of fiddling around adjusting your mirror with the old manual tilt system.

The M3's are available in heated and unheated forms as well as powered and manual. They are available for the sedans, coupes, 318i, 325i, 328i, 535i, 735i, and a host of other models.

And of course BMW wouldn't be BMW if they didn't design their mirrors with the style in mind. In fact their Euro styling is in such high demand throughout the industry that not only are other makers using it many of the replacement mirrors are also using it. And of course it's no wonder because those sleek clean lines are really hard not to like.

But BMW isn't the only one that spends a great deal of time ensuring their vehicles and their mirrors are the safest on the market. M3 mirrors are also used by Ford in the Expedition, Focus, F150, and Mustang to name just a few, as well as the Citroen, Fiat, Renault, Peugeot, and Volkswagen lines.

And great news you can buy replacement M3 mirrors that will fit many different makes and models of vehicles so be sure to check online!
