There are so many different colors of glass available these days. Choose from gold, green, pink, peach, blue, bronze, black, and gray. Color adds uniqueness and little bit of flair. Do you want your mirror to blend into the wall and disappear, create a focal point and make a statement, or create a little harmony.

1. Clear Mirror This type of glass has either a standard silver backing or it might have been painted or have a copper backing. This is the standard mirror and it usually is available in ¼", 3/16", 1/8", and 3/32" thicknesses. 2. Ultra Clear Mirror This type of glass has less iron content than standard glass so it does not have that slight green tint seen in standard glass. It is used in places where complete clarity is a must. 3. Colored Mirror The color is added and then the silver backing is applied. Gold - is popular for restaurants and areas that people gather. Blue - is very popular in warmer climates because it has an illusion of water. It is also used often used to create an atmosphere. Peach and pink - are often used in exercise rooms or dressing rooms because they are flattering. They also work nicely in bathrooms or powder rooms. Green is not flattering to people but it does work well around plants to create the illusion of fullness. Black, gray, and bronze - these three colors are fabulous because they are very dramatic. That's why you often see them used in architecture. They also look terrific when used for an accenting in a room.

Mirror shapes are also important but they are almost endless. You can choose any shape you want based on the size of the room, your furniture styles, and what you want to accomplish. You can trim your mirror in what ever finish you like. Wood, metals, and plastics are all popular.

The most common shapes are round, octagon, oval, rectangular, and square but you are only limited in shape by your imagination. You can have your glass cut any shape you like.
