Today country décor is one of the most popular choices. And there's a reason! There is no other décor that is so casual and friendly. Top that with a couple of western mirrors and wow!
Before you start your room's transformation you need to study color schemes. Then determine what schemes will work best with your existing furniture or colors. And expand on those colors. It's the most affordable way to update your room.
Of course if your budget allows you can start from scratch but for most of us that's not an option. So instead start dressing things up. Once you've determine your color scheme you can start changing cushions, covers, accessories, and you can find the mirror with the right colors.
A kitchen can be transformed fairly easily with some very basic changes. Display your antique china behind a rustic cabinet with glass doors. No antique china, not to worry. Display pottery, tin canisters, bowls, wooden spoons, or what ever perks your fancy.
A living room can be transformed with some new window treatments and a couple of throw rugs. Your window treatments are an affordable way to spruce up your country décor. Thematic blinds depict a full country or western scene or you can choose drapes that are solid colored and compliment the room.
Your area rug will look great with a southwestern theme. Choose one larger rug or several small ones that are scattered throughout the room. Rugs tossed in front of chairs and sofas have a nice effect.
And of course western mirrors are a great addition to any country room. And two of my favorites are the railroad mirrors and wagon wheel mirrors. Not only will a wagon wheel create the illusion of more space it will add a very unique touch to your décor. A wagon wheel mirror is very rustic and available in a many different sizes. The half wheels are also a great choice. Choose a size according to the statement you wish to make.
Add them to a hall, a bedroom, or a kitchen then why not accent with a couple of railroad lamps. Of course there are plenty of other mirror choices.
Consider an etched mirror with a scene of the fields, the Clydesdales, the range, and old farm house, or perhaps the horses galloping across the plains. Etched mirrors are a work of art all unto themselves. Don't be afraid to use more than one.
But wait there's more. There are cowboy boots, cowboy hats, cowboys and Indians. There are also beautiful wood framed mirrors that are often completed in oak, maple, or cherry, and sometimes you will find a western design carved into the frame.
There are also beautiful southwestern mirrors that often depict a variety of animals specifically bears, wolves, and eagles. These mirrors can be carved, molded, or painted.
When it comes to western mirrors there are hundreds of terrific choices online and many of these websites have great pricing so be sure to shop around. It's a competitive place out there!!
